Not much news...

but it's all good news!

Yesterday we started our weekly visits to the doctor.  As though we needed something to speed this process up any more.  I saw Dr. Harper, the last doctor in the group I needed to meet.  Although I am partial to Dr. Slocumb and his laid back manner I would be perfectly happy if any of the doctors in the group were to deliver Blueberry.  They are all very nice and professional.  We'll be in good hands.

My weight gain is great (I am not divulging numbers anymore though).  Blood pressure has been the exact same since my first visit, really low.  No swelling.  Hemoglobin was the highest the nurse had seen recently partly due to the yummy steak Barry grilled on Saturday night.  I think I'll use that as my excuse to request steak a lot for the next few months.  Blueberry is sitting right on top of my pelvis but Dr. Harper didn't think we have fully engaged.  Being my child, he/she took that as a challenge and almost immediately starting pushing down as hard as possible, as if to say, "I'll show you fully engaged, Doc."  He doesn't think Blueberry is too big but also said that taller women can hide a big baby more.  I'm hear to tell you that this kid feel humongous to me!  We'll see Dr. Slocumb next Wednesday to make sure we're still doing well.

I have really enjoyed being pregnant but I must admit I'm over it.  I'm ready to kiss these little feet and hands.  Even moreso, I'm ready to have my space back.  "Here, go see Daddy!"  Please remind me of this when I won't put this baby down!

We had another shower on Sunday thrown by my Komen girls.  It was so thoughtful and precious.  I know I have lots of good mothers to lean on when I need support.  It was wonderful to feel so loved and watched over by women I love so much.

E will be here for her visit two weeks from today!  I am so excited to see her again.  I've got to get to work on getting 6 year old stuff together for her!  I've got a stash of dress up clothes and crayons and books...just have to get them all together.  I love seeing her play with her Daddy.  I know how much he misses her and seeing them together makes me smile.  My heart might burst when Blueberry is added to the mix.

After that it will be one short week until Blueberry's big arrival!  Theoretically, of course.

Until next week...

xoxo
